GitHub Copilot.
Helps write and change code as you build.
GitHub Copilot suggests code, answers questions about a project and can work through coding tasks in an editor. Paid plans also let you assign work to a cloud coding agent.

Good for
When you write software and want help inside your editor or GitHub.
Start with
A GitHub account and a project to work on. Agent-mode availability and limits depend on your plan.
Cost
Free includes 2,000 code completions a month and limited chat and agent usage. Pro is $10 per user/month; higher tiers add usage and features.
Try something small.
- Explain an unfamiliar function
- Make a small code change
- Ask an agent to tackle an issue
Getting started.
Sign in with a GitHub account and enable Copilot. Start in a supported editor or on GitHub; give agent mode a small, reviewable task.
GitHub Copilot is a different product from Microsoft Copilot. The free plan does not include the cloud agent that creates pull requests. Review and test generated changes.
Little sidekicks.
These services help a project move from working code to a live site. Add them when you need them.
