Coding terminal and agents
By Denver Technologies, Inc. (Warp)United States

Warp.

Keep commands, code and agents together.

Warp combines a terminal, code review and coding agents. Use the Warp app or its agent CLI to investigate a project, make changes and check the result. This profile starts with the terminal; cloud automation and Factories have separate setup and billing.

Getting started: TechnicalInstall a terminal or CLI, open a project and choose the agent permissions and billing route. You need to understand commands and review code changes. Our setup guide, not a performance score.

Good for

Developers who want terminal commands, code and agent work in one place, and can manage permissions and usage billing.

Start with

A supported Mac, Windows or Linux computer and a project you can review. Agent features need eligible account and model access. External providers and cloud work can have separate requirements.

Cost

Free includes the terminal, with no bundled Warp Agent usage. Buy usage or bring eligible model access. Monthly Build is $20 with $20 in usage; Max is $200 with $200. Compute and platform charges can add costs.

Plans and limits explained

A free terminal. Separate usage bills.

Free software
The ongoing Free terminal has no bundled Warp Agent usage. Purchase usage or connect a supported AI provider; their bills and restrictions remain. Regular non-AI terminal commands do not use agent allowance.
Free trial
No general paid-plan trial or free-signup card rule confirmed. Conditional subscription refund windows are separate from a free trial.
Paid plans
USD monthly per seat: Build $20 with $20 usage, Max $200 with $200, Business $50 with $20 and up to 25 seats. Annual views show $18 / $180 / $45 monthly equivalents; full annual invoices are not assumed. Included usage resets monthly without rollover; existing seats can differ. Enterprise is quoted. Factories plans are separate.
Extra costs & limits
Purchased usage expires after 12 months. Auto-reload is off by default and can repeat purchases when enabled; Free purchases are one-time. Cloud compute and platform charges are separate. Eligible ChatGPT/Grok connections use their own limits for selected local models; Auto uses Warp usage, and an API key takes priority over ChatGPT. Claude consumer subscriptions are unsupported. Subscriptions auto-renew. Help says cancellation anytime with period-end access; agreement clauses also contain annual-order and 30-day notice wording. Check your actual order.

Prices in USD unless noted. Check the billing period; local prices, taxes and offers can differ.

Plan details

Free$0 terminal · no bundled AI usage
Use the terminal, buy Warp usage without a subscription or configure eligible external inference. Purchased Free usage has a premium. Regular non-AI shell commands do not consume agent usage.
Build / Max$20 / $200 per month
Include $20 / $200 in monthly usage per seat. Annual views show $18 / $180 monthly equivalents. Included usage resets monthly, even on annual billing, and does not roll over. Existing seats can have different allowances.
Business$50 / user / month
Up to 25 seats, with $20 in monthly usage per seat. The annual view shows $45/user as a monthly equivalent. Enterprise is quoted. Full annual invoices are not used as My Club presets.
Extra usage and cloudCheck inference, compute and platform
Purchased usage expires after 12 months. Auto-reload is off by default and can make repeated purchases when enabled. Free purchases are one-time only. The purchase limit excludes subscription bills, provider bills and some extra payment costs. Cloud runs can add compute and platform fees.
Reuse eligible model accessExisting plan limits still apply
Warp documents ChatGPT and Grok subscription connections for selected models; Auto models still use Warp usage. A saved OpenAI API key takes priority over the ChatGPT connection. These subscriptions do not fund cloud runs. Grok eligibility includes individuals and organizations with at most 10 employees. Claude consumer subscriptions are not supported; an Anthropic API key is a separate bill.

Subscriptions renew automatically. Self-serve help says cancel anytime with access through the billing period; standard agreement/order clauses also contain annual renewal and 30-day notice wording. Check the terms of your actual order. Business/Enterprise local runs using your own inference can still incur platform fees. Refund rules have conditions and are separate from a trial. My Club’s $0 choice covers the terminal only; add actual external or usage bills separately.

Try something small.

  • Ask about a project or command
  • Prepare and review a small code change
  • Save a reusable terminal workflow

Getting started.

Install the official app for your computer, open a small sample project and inspect the agent permissions. Choose Warp usage or a supported external model route deliberately. Begin by asking for an explanation, then review any commands or edits.

A free terminal is not a free monthly AI allowance. Different routes can bill differently, even in the same app. Review commands and code changes; cloud access and a connected chat subscription do not imply free cloud runs.

Explain a sample project.

Try this task
You’ll need
An installed Warp setup, a permitted sample project and an intentionally chosen model/billing route. Review agent permissions first.
A request to copy

Explain this sample project and identify its entry file. Describe one existing test command from the project files. Do not run commands, edit files or connect any service.

What to expect
An explanation you can check against the sample project.
How to check it is done
Verify the named file and test command. Confirm that the project is unchanged and inspect the usage breakdown.

Our untested suggestion based on the quickstart. A prompt is not an access boundary and even a discussion can consume model usage. No Warp install, account or real task was performed.
